Emails and Forum Postings

The funeral was on 28th August at the Priory Church of St Peter.
There were about 100 people there, roughly 20 contractors.

The service included a reading of the words from ANGELS a song by Robbie Williams, which was quite appropriate.

There has also been a collection for a charity on Harrys behalf.
His nephew was born prematurely and the childrens ward of the hospital has a fund that we will be giving £800 to, via his family.

I worked with, and for, Harry for a number of years.
We first met in 1998 and ironically ended up to be next door neighbours. I have many cherished memories of him, as I am sure many of you have also. He will be deeply missed, not only by myself but by all who he came into contact with, who can only be described as the life of the party.

Things will never be the same. He even brought the sunshine with him to the church.

Take care friend where ever you are.

Thanks Simon

I too would like to pass comment on the sad passing of Harry Innes.

I only worked with Harry once at Porsche in '94, but enjoyed his company both in and out of work. His cheerful manner, great attitude and cheeky grin made him a pleasure to be around.

As the late and great Gerry Kempster once told me and I quote "Characters should be encouraged!" Gerry Kempster was one. Chris Stevens was one. Harry Innes was one too! All sad losses to me and this Profession.

I personaly enjoyed my short time with all of them. I want to say that it is they and others like them that make this job fun and tolerable through the sometimes long hauls!

Harry, Farewell!

I wish you peace and happiness.

I only worked with him briefly. He was a very amiable bloke and fun to be around. My condolences to his family and friends.

I knew him very well and it was a great shock to me, Harry had everything going in his life. I am staying in touch with his family as a mark of respect.

God bless Harry.

I also want to give my condolences to Lenny Ellis, and I am also passing this message on behalf of my Parents, Gordon and Marie Shrigley.

Rest in Peace Lenny.
