Quoted from his obituary in the Detroit News:

Justin Telnack died suddenly from brain trauma June 24, 2008. Embraced by the spirits of the sea and all nature~ he was/and is truly beloved for his courage to walk a different path. He is honored and loved by those he will continue to guide: his daughter Valerie, his wife Rainy, Parents, Jack and Janine, brother Lee and sister Sophie. Beloved and courageous beyond words, he searched for the truth, and in his honor, so will we.

Born March 30, 1973 Services were held at St John's catholic church and his favorite surf spot,"pipes" beach, in Encinitas, California.

...a clay modeler who worked in Dearborn and Southern California passed away on June 24, 2008. He was an avid surfer who lived life on his own terms. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Shaggy, Just read your posting, so sorry to hear the news. Pass on my condolences to Justins family. I know we only worked with him with what seemed a short time in Irvine but he did leave an impression. A very cool calm laid back way about life. He will be sadly missed.
